You are what you think

After a question I had from one of my readers about passive income and why do people still work if they say they get so much money from an internet product or other income source, I gave it some thought and came up with the following questions:

Is it because people just don’t know when enough is enough?

Is it because of greed?

Is it that they are workaholics?

Is it that they are passionate about their field of expertise?

Is it because they know that to give is better than to receive

Or do they know, in order to receive, you need to give?

I think it is a combination of some of the topics and when you start getting a income, you get so into this and want to try more ideas that soon you will find yourself way too busy creating more and more income.

The trick is to balance your life, know when to work on a project and when to work on your free time, your precious time with your loved ones, your time with yourself. Meditation time and time with your creator.

Are you balancing your life?

Can you honestly say that you are not running after the next big income or the next big exercise program?

To change your health, you need to make changes to your life and it is sometimes much easier said than done. We all have that need to show we made it. We created something, we will be remembered by people.

What is that drives you?

Do you know what you want out of life, have you ever sit still and thought of the reason why you are you? Why are you on planet earth?

What difference are you making to other peoples lives?

It is deep questions and to live a fulfilling life, you need to answer it.

What will be the 5 things in your life you want to do or experience that when the time comes for you to move on the next plane, you can say you were successful? John Strelecky wrote a book called, why are you here café, try and get hold of it, its full of advise on how you can create the life of your dreams.

I found the book at amazon, why don’t you order it ?

By following this 4 easy tips on how to change yourself in a spanking new you, it is very easy to loose 10 pounds in 7 days. I did it and I will be the first to admit that it was not easy.

Depends on your age, but it probably took years to get where you are today and it might not be that easy to loose weight, definitely not overnight. But there is hope.

The first question people ask is: Where do you start with a weight loss program?

My suggestion is to use this tips below and get in shape:

Tip number 1 - Change your mind

You will need to make a total mind shift change to even start with weight loss. You will not be able to finish if you keep your old habits. You cannot have a different outcome if you do the same things over and over. This goes for everything in life. Change your mind to change your life.

Tip number 2 - Find your bad habits.

Make a list of all your bad eating habits. Do you have a soft spot for fast food? Do you have craves for chocolate or coffee? Can there be things you will have to put aside for a while until you reach the weight of your choice. If you know what your bad habits are, you can eliminate them or at least be aware of them. Just remember, by thinking of your bad habits all day long, you will crave even more for them.

Tip number 3 - Find a program that suits your lifestyle.

It is no use you try a weigh loss program that need you to weigh and measure your food 5 times a day, if you work in a environment that will not allow you to do that. You need to look at what you can do, and then search for a program that suits you.

Tip number 4 - Make the program your friend.

Be happy about your future achievements. Know your outcome. Know the advantages of loosing the extra pounds. Be sure that the struggle will be worth it. You will for sure want to go back to your old eating pattern. No doubt about that. It is the easy way to do and people go back to what they found easy to do.
Make a mental picture of yourself the way you want to look, think about it when you want to cheat. Write down on a big piece of paper why you need to loose weight, read it everyday till you believe it.
Know that you can do it. Also know that the outcome totally overshadow the struggle. If you have your family and friends on your side, it will be much easier. Just don’t give up, even if you cheated a bit, go back on the program and get it done with.

Till next time, stay healthy

PS. I’m watching you! Don’t cheat

This is a famous saying. This is the essence behind the concept of weight loss through the software advertised in the website www.store.unexplainable.net. This website is a repository of different kinds of software that are used to enhance the brain power. Though there are pills for any kind of ailment, they do not provide permanent relief. However this software gives permanent relief from any kind of ailment, at reasonable prices and without any side effects.

Weight loss is the happening word today. Almost everybody thinks that they are overweight and take desperate efforts to slim down. They maintain very strict diet and mostly, they almost eat nothing at all, resulting to under nourishment. Having a healthy body is very important for one’s own confidence levels. Many dieticians and doctors around the world recommend specific foods and recommend tablets to bring about weight loss. The fact is that, these do bring about weight loss without doubt, but they are not long standing. After a few weeks or months, the weight tends to appear on one’s body. This is the biggest disadvantage of all the medicines and the diet programs that are available in the market today.

However the software available in this website is only about positive recordings. It has a lot of positive recordings that emphasize that nobody is overweight. The term weight itself is a negative term. The priority is to have a healthy body. One should stop worrying that he is overweight, or does not have the correct physique for his age. These negative energies aggravate weight gain. No matter how strict the food or diet is, no matter how many tablets one takes, weight loss never happens because of the negative energies in the mind.

The brain is the controller of the human body. When there are so many negative forces in the brain, how can one expect to lose weight? Thoughts are more effective than tablets. Everybody should agree to this. One can download this software at a reasonable price and listen to the positive recordings that clear the myth of weight loss. This gives an insight into what weight means and how one should control it. It may appear pschycological to few people, however the fact is that, after listening to these recordings, one is bound to feel good about his physical appearance. The world always weighs us on our confidence levels.

This program is sure to give enough confidence levels to project a positive picture to the world. It is not the weight, but the attitude that matters. As long as one has a healthy body, one should not bother about his weight. Continuously listening to these recordings sends positive signals to the brain and automatically controls the food that we intake. Weight loss happens naturally without any external medication. This is the best way to lose weight. In addition to that, one begins to feel so good and confident about oneself. This satisfaction is never achieved even at times of strict diet control or weight loss medications.

It’s so easy to get all hyped up about exercising, weight loss, diets, nutrition, supplements that we just get confused. Most of these stuff only works while we use them… you need to use it all the time. You need to exercise all the time, you need to take your supplement all the time.

As I’m a lazy person and tend to go back to the ways I knew, I decided to investigate alternative ways to stay healthy. I personally like to meditate, get my mind as quiet as I possibly can. The problem with this is that you tend to start thinking about all the things you still need to do, things of your past, money issues, health issues, family issues and name it, for some reason this creep up while you want to be still.

I found a very good alternative and for the next few posts I’m going to standstill at a few.

Today I want you to look seriously at the following site. Quickly open this, go through this, you will make it much easier to understand.

I hope you will take time to visit the site and be sure to get a alternative way to stay healthy.

Does anyone really believe that biceps curls with water bottles is going to prepare women to carry their children to bed, a bag of heavy groceries in from the car, or swing a sledgehammer during home reno’s?

No way. You need real-world workouts and fat loss advice. Not fluff.

Am I the only one that finds those types of recommendations
disrespectful to the physical capabilities of women? You’d think
that Linda Hamilton’s chin-up scene in Terminator 2 would have turned the tide of female fitness, or perhaps Demi Moore’s GI Jane.

I’ve watched women get fit fast at almost any age with Turbulence Training. In fact, we’ve had girls from 18 to 82 years young kickin’ butt with Turbulence Training.

Today, I want to share the story of a classic “supermom”, you know the mom with 3 active kids that has to drive them everywhere, eat on the run, and still find room for workouts. Her name is Brandy Kirton, and she’ll show you how real women train, eat, and find the time to do it all with proper planning.

CB: Brandy, tell us about your past exercise and nutrition experiences. At what point did you find out about Turbulence Training and what persuaded you to start using it?

BK:
I started working out back on high school. I’m 30 now.

I became a personal trainer for a few years in my early 20’s. So I learned a lot about nutrition and weight training. I have been in great shape and not so great shape in the last 10 years. I think I found Turbulence Training just surfing the web and decided to give it a try. I was desperate to lose weight after my 3rd kid.

CB: And how was this a change from what you had done in the past?

BK:
I was doing 30 minutes of cardio and then lifted for 30 mins
3 to 4 times a week. That was if I actually could make time.

I would not work out if I knew I couldnt get it all in. I would
think, “What’s the point of 20 mins?”.

CB: What kind of results have you achieved with Turbulence Training? And is there anything else, besides the results, you love about the Turbulence Training programs?

BK:
I love how it changes every month so I never get bored. I also love that I have no excuse about not having time to fit it in.

My results have been great. I am getting toned up and consistently loosing inches. I also have a lot more energy.

CB: Do you workout at home or in a gym?

BK:
I have to work out at home. No time to get to a gym.

I feel strong and love the daily emails. It helps me stay motivated.

I work full time, have three kids 9, 5, and 11 months, and a
husband. My older two kids play every sports so there really
is no extra time.

I have to get up at 5:30 to work out before they wake up but its
worth it. I feel great after I am done and no matter what happens that day I have already got my work out in which feels great.

CB: What are your daily obstacles and temptations that you have to avoid with respect to nutrition and training? And what
strategies do you use?

BK:
With all the practices, games and running around I have to do its hard not to grab McDonald’s with the kids.

I try to either bring food with me or wait until I get home. If I
have to eat out I do try and find grilled chicken or subway.

CB: How do you plan your nutrition?

So that you get in and out of the gym whether it’s your home gym or whether it’s a commercial gym. You get your workout done in 45 minutes.

We start with a 5-minute bodyweight warm up and then we do strength training for 20 minutes, whether it’s bodyweight training or dumbbells. Sometimes we use barbells but most people that I work with train at home so we just use dumbbells and bodyweight exercises - no fancy equipment needed.

Then we finish with 20 minutes of interval training. We are using the most efficient and effective training methods. The stuff that gets you the most results in the least amount of time. So we are not doing long, slow cardio sessions and we’re not doing 5 or 6 day per week bodybuilding training programs.

It’s like the old business principle - 80% of your results come
from 20% of your efforts - so why do endless amounts of cardio and redundant strength training exercises?

You will get have the most energy and the best body and fitness level possible if you eat whole, natural foods. I always ask Dr. Chris Mohr, author of the Turbulence Training for Fat Loss Nutrition Guidelines if I ever need help with nutrition information.

You must avoid processed foods, which is pretty much anything in a bag or a box. So cut out muffins, donuts, pre-packaged cereals, white bread, pasta, chips, crackers, cookies, etc.

We need to return to a time of simpler eating, focusing on fruits, vegetables, nuts, lean proteins, and healthy fats. It will take some “bad habit breaking” to rid yourself of your addiction to processed foods, but in your journey you will learn to appreciate the taste of REAL food again.

You don’t have to eat meat to lose fat and build muscle, but it’s not unhealthy to eat beef, chicken, and fish. In fact, fish contains essential fatty acids we can’t do without.

You might have heard about the importance of healthy fats, which is a big turn-around from the low-fat mentality of the 80’s and 90’s. We now know eating fish and nuts won’t make us fat, but will in fact make us healthy and help control our appetite.

So just focus on foods that haven’t been processed, and you’ll start to see changes in your body and energy levels in a matter of days. Get rid of the processed foods and you won’t be tired anymore!

I strongly believe nutrition is the MOST important factor in fat loss and in health. If you’re eating processed foods, trans-fats, and too many calories, you won’t get maximum benefits from your exercise program, no matter what you are doing. Nutrition can either heal you or kill you, so choose wisely. Fortunately, the right choices are the simple choices.

I’ve had clients that switched to whole, natural foods and almost overnight they’ve reported changes in their bodies and huge increases in mental energy. So stick with the simple nutrition approach for fat burning.

Men’s Fitness magazine recently asked me for 3 of my best fat loss secrets. Since most times the magazines just don’t have enough space to run my full tips, I thought I’d give you a more detailed explanation of my secrets here (plus a few extra bonus tips that I didn’t send to the magazine).

Secret #1 - Focus on burning carbohydrate, not fat, during your
fat-loss workouts.

Sounds backwards, right? But not when you look at how I structure my workouts. Remember that Turbulence Training focuses on resistance training and interval training. Both of these use carbohydrate as the main source of energy. So it’s obvious the workout is designed to burn carbohydrates during the training session.

I have no interest in you trying to train in your “target heart
rate zone” for fat burning (aka - the fat burning zone). The whole idea of a fat-burning zone is an over-simplified idea of how the body works during exercise.

Leave the inefficient fat burning zone to the mis-educated
trainers in the commercial gyms (that not surprisingly, also want to sell you a heart rate monitor so you can stay in your “fat
burning heart rate zone”).

If you want to get the most results in the least amount of time,
focus on burning carbohydrates, not fat.

Why do my fat loss workouts focus on burning carbohydrate rather than fat? In order to burn more calories after the workout, that’s why. When you exercise with intervals and heavy resistance training, your body uses more calories in the hours after exercise than it would if you did traditional cardio and lifted lighter weights.

Alwyn Cosgrove calls this ‘afterburn’, and I call it ‘Turbulence’.
By any name it gives you the same results - maximum
improvements in your body composition (helping you lose fat while gaining muscle).

Secret #2 - Use a range of repetitions in your strength training
workouts.

In order to train more muscle fibers and burn more carbohydrates, I have clients use a range of repetitions within the same workout. My workouts now use 6, 8, and 12 reps per set in order to work the muscle the most effectively.

This will burn more carbohydrates and promote as much muscle growth as possible when you are keeping the calories low.

Secret #3 - Use the stationary cycle for interval training.

I choose the stationary bike for intervals whenever possible
because cycling against a resistance can help maintain muscle mass.

Cycling against a resistance also allows you to perform a large
amount of mechanical work, and that is a key determinant of the Turbulence in my training.

But please note: I don’t use low-intensity, fast pedaling
’spinning’ intervals as I’m convinced that the hard, resistance
based intervals are more effective for fat loss. My clients only
cycle against a strong resistance in their intervals.

I really like the bike, but there are many other ways to do
intervals. Use what works for you, but if you are at a plateau, try the bike.

Secret #4 - Increase meal frequency

Okay, so this isn’t really a secret to anyone that has read about
fat loss. But a 2005 study from the American Journal of Clinical
Nutrition showed that eating 6 times per day was associated with eating fewer calories per day, lowering cholesterol levels, and lowering post-meal insulin levels.

Combine an increased meal frequency with an increased protein and fiber intake, and you’ll see your body composition improve rapidly.

If you need more nutrition help, then you’ll love the new
Turbulence Training Nutrition Guide for Men & Women - written by Dr. Chris Mohr, Ph.D.

See below for more details…

Secret #5 - My Synergistic Turbulence Training Workouts

My Turbulence Training Fat Loss workouts are fast becoming the most effective way to burn fat, build muscle, and get lean. The synergistic strength training-interval training workouts are
efficient and effective - getting you in and out of the gym in
under an hour.

Here are some tips that you can use for an advanced training phase

- use these tips for 2 weeks then return to your normal training
schedule:

a) Add 10 seconds to each interval but maintain the intensity

b) Add in some bodyweight circuits (10-20 minutes per day) done in the morning or evening (if you do your regular workout in the AM, do your bodyweight circuits after dinner; otherwise, do the bw circuits first thing in the AM, and then do your regular workout at lunch or later in the afternoon or evening)

If you are advanced, you can use squats, pushups, and bodyweight rows for your circuit.

If you are a beginner, you could use lying hip extensions, modified pushups, and stick-ups.

c) Add an extra set to each exercise in the first superset you do
in each workout.

Again, use these three tips for an advanced fat loss period of two
weeks, then return to a normal training schedule.

But always stick to the best fat loss nutrition plan possible.

If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Sincerely,

Is your inner
caveman causing your waistline to expand? What can we do
to work with our ancestry and not against it?

It is important to know why we get fat. Once you know the underlying reasons behind fat gain, you can take that information and apply it to fat loss. Knowing why something happens is the first step towards changing the result.

The one major reason we get fat is that we put in more than we burn off. This may be an overly simplistic view but it’s also a very liberating one. It shows you that if fat gain is not that complicated, fat loss is not necessarily that complicated either.

But what are the origins of our body’s amazingly efficient fat storage mechanisms? In a nutshell, why do we gain fat so easily?

Your Inner Caveman

Our earliest ancestors did not go to the supermarket to hunt for food. They didn’t point at a cave drawing with a Big Mac on it when they were hungry. They did not sit at a desk all day. They didn’t drive everywhere they went. In fact, fast food had to be chased down before it outran you!

The daily life of the earliest humans, whom we owe our genetics to, was consumed with getting enough food to survive. In order to eat, they had to either hunt it or gather it. As you can imagine, this burned a lot of calories.

With the start of agriculture, people no longer had to hunt down or forage for their food. They could stay in one place and grow it. Animals were domesticated. They could sell this produced food to others in return for other goods or services. This is known as the Agricultural Revolution and it was the start of our society as we know it.

Agriculture became the primary means of food production in the world. The story changes during the 1900’s, however. As we progressed as a society, manual labor was no longer required of most people. Machines were starting to take over more of the hard labor jobs. This led to less and less physical activity by a growing number of people. It was the start of the modern obesity epidemic.

To sum it up: these days food is plentiful and easy to get and physical activity is no longer a part of daily life.

Thank Your Ancestors

The human body of 50,000 years ago when we were hunter/gatherers is exactly the same as the human body of today. Our body had successfully adapted to continuous cycles of feast and famine. How did it adapt? It adapted by developing extremely efficient fat storage capabilities.

By storing large amounts of fat whenever possible, the body would protect itself against the inevitable famine to come when food was scarce. By storing up large amounts of energy, our ancestors could survive the harsh conditions and thrive. In winter conditions, it would often come down to survival of the fattest, not fittest.

Our bodies are still programmed with this desperate need for storage even though, due to highly available food supplies, we don’t really need it anymore. This is the reason you can often put on fat quite easily but have a hard time taking it off. Your body is protecting itself against the famine that it thinks is coming.

Compound this need for storage with reduced physical activity and readily available, calorie-dense foods and you have the recipe that has resulted in rampant obesity in our society today.

Diet = Famine

If you’ve ever been on a diet you’ve probably experienced that quick weight loss when you first start then the gradual slowdown and sometimes complete stop in progress that comes after a few weeks.

You can thank your ancestors for this one too. When you dramatically reduce your calories, such as when you begin a diet, your body starts using up the stored fat quickly. Your metabolism is still high and you are losing weight.

The trouble is, your body can’t distinguish between the lack of available food known as famine and the voluntary reduction in food known as dieting. To your body “diet = famine.” After a short period of time, your body will go into a panic state. You are losing your energy stores too fast and your body will do everything it can to slow down or put a stop to it.

-The first thing that will happen is that your metabolism
will slow down. You won’t burn as many calories during the
day, regardless of how much you are eating or exercising.

-The next thing that will happen is that your body will
step up its burning of muscle tissue. Muscles are very
metabolically active and require a lot of calories to
maintain. Your body knows this and, in its effort to
reduce the drain on its energy supplies, will start
destroying muscle tissue. Your body will metabolize your
muscle into energy in order to hold onto its fat stores.

This vicious cycle will continue every time you further reduce calories in order to compensate for a slower metabolism. Your body will slow your metabolism down even more and destroy more muscle tissue to reduce energy usage.

How do we avoid this problem? There are a number of ways to approach it:

1. Reduce your calories slowly. If you are trying to lose fat, don’t slash your food intake rapidly. This will throw your body into a panic, causing it to grind your metabolism to a halt.

2. Mix up your caloric intake. Don’t eat the same things in the same amounts every day. Eat a little more on some days and a little less on other days. It’s what you do in the long term that will really affect your results.

3. Exercise. Since most people don’t actually have to exercise as part of their daily life, you must take the initiative and make it a point to exercise regularly. It helps by burning calories and giving your body the stimulus to preserve muscle mass (it’s the old principle of “use it or lose it” at work).

4. Reduce your intake of processed foods. Your body is not readily equipped to efficiently process Twinkies. Try to stick to foods that are closer to their natural state, such as whole grains, lean meats, etc.

It can be very difficult when you want to see overall body health improvement as well as weight loss. Good nutrition skills are a must in this case. Proper nutrition can help to reduce your risk of a variety of health problems including heart disease and cancer. This, however, entails eating many different foods, watching your consumption of some food and beverage items, and counting calories. Good diets offer balanced nutrition that reduces cholesterol, blood pressure, and aids in weight loss.

They are the primary source of ammunition in your diet. The body uses them to build glucose, which can be used immediately or stored in your body for later. Too much glucose, though, is stored as fat. You need to keep a balance.

Proteins help your body build and fix muscles and other tissues. They also function in the creation of hormones. Like carbohydrates, excess protein is stored as fat.
